Editor's Note
Welcome to another exciting week in GET THE AI EDGE! We've got a fun experience to show you about why AI it the BEST travel agent. Ditch the cost for a real travel agent and use AI. Here’s why:

Stop Googling Everything!

Let me ask you something..

When you need to figure something out, what's the first thing you do?

If you're like most people, you open Google.

Then you open another tab..

And another.. And another..

Before long, you're comparing articles, reading reviews, watching YouTube videos, and trying to figure out who actually knows what they're talking about. Say nothing of the frustration you’ve gathered along the way.

We've all done it.

The funny thing is that AI is changing that process completely. Like… night and day changing. Not because Google is bad. We love Google. But because there is now a faster and more efficient way. Let’s talk about it:

What ChatGPT Actually Is

A lot of people hear "AI" and immediately think chatbot.

That isn't wrong, but it misses the point.

I think of ChatGPT as a research assistant, among other things.

You tell it the entire problem.

It helps you work through it.

The more information you give it, the better the answer usually gets. It will even follow up with questions if it doesn’t feel it has the whole picture.

Unlike Google, it doesn't forget what you asked five minutes ago. It learns you, and your scenarios.

The conversation builds on itself. Like compound interest - it just gets better and better!

That compounding is where the magic starts to happen. Your answers become more fruitful. The conversations get deeper. What was just your “chat bot” is now your right hand man that knows your intent and patterns.

A Real Example

Earlier this year I started planning a trip to Tokyo, Japan.

Normally that would mean hours of research.

Travel blogs.

YouTube videos.

Restaurant recommendations.

Train routes.

Tourist attractions.

Hotel comparisons.

UGH!

Instead, I opened ChatGPT and gave it one prompt:

"We are planning 10 days in Japan. We want 2 days at Tokyo Disneyland, enjoy authentic local food, prefer a moderate budget, want to avoid tourist traps, and need help navigating the train system. Build a complete day-by-day itinerary."

A few seconds later it gave me a complete starting point.

Not a generic list of things to do.

An actual itinerary.

Places to visit.

Food recommendations.

Ideas for transportation.

Suggested daily schedules.

Could I have found all of that myself?

Absolutely.

Would it have taken significantly longer?

Also yes.

That's the value.

Why This Matters

This newsletter isn't really about travel.

Travel just happens to be a good example.

The real lesson is learning a new way to solve problems.

You can use ChatGPT to help:

  • Plan vacations

  • Compare vehicle transits

  • Build budgets

  • Research major purchases

  • Understand contracts

  • Organize ideas

  • Learn new skills

  • Understand deeper concepts

The people getting the most value from AI right now are not programmers or tech experts.

They're regular people who are willing to ask questions.

That's it.

Your Challenge This Week

Open ChatGPT.

Pick something you've been putting off researching, or are just generally curious about.

Then type:

"I need help with this. Ask me questions one at a time until you understand the situation, then help me build a plan."

That's it.

No special training.

No technical knowledge.

Just start the conversation.

You might be surprised by what happens.

Next week let’s cover:

How I use ChatGPT before making any purchase over $500.

Vehicles. Appliances. Vacations. Business purchases.

One good prompt can save you hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars.

I'll show you exactly how.
